Founder of Jaroc,
Kenji Horie (the present Chairman of the Board of Directors) published
bulletin of "Distribution facilities" for production company
about 40 years ago.
That theme was the change and efficient promotion of the distribution
site based on the concept from "mass production" to "small
quantity production of many items". At that time, representative
companies in Japan changed production system to “small quantity production
of many items” depends of the request of a market peculiar to Japan
from "mass production of the period of the high growth of economy"
to enhance production efficiency and competitiveness.
He explained in “Distribution facilities”, for example, How can do
to make 10 pieces of parts at the same cost of 1 piece? It’s better
to take charge of work by a role of one section rather than one person
alone takes charge of many processes as a versatile worker.
He
suggested the organization of the person-saving by enabling
having many kinds but small quantity production in one person,
and who is suitable in that process in detail.
It was the staff of Toyota Motor Corporation to see this bulletin
and hold consultation
with him. The theme is as below;

of the service parts of automobiles

Making

of Jaroc. And relationship with Toyota Motor Corporation
started at the time. That’s the reason we have kept very
full understanding regarding production and distribution
of automobiles for about 40 years until the present.
New products be born with Kaizen activities. "There
are meanings and stories one by one"
One of the wonderful point of Toyota Motor Corporation
is that tens of thousands of employees is a condition
of "Addictive problem solving". They are pursuing
a better thing consistently without being satisfied with
the present conditions. It is “Kaizen" which became
world term now.
Any kinds of small activities to get rid of waste leads
to big cost reduction by repetition. For example, a lot
of number of the figures stuck on a shelf board is too
small to find out with eyes. How can solve this problem?
We did solve as below procedure.
At first, give up handle managing by numbers of parts.
Next, reduce the number of figures using location numbers
to show that place. And then, give up sticking of that
numbers to shelf board directly and attach a big vinyl
pocket in which big label put to catch contents easily.
Finally, remodel a shelf board which is able to move freely
anywhere without the vinyl pocket falling. As that result,
"Shelf board with shaped hollow surface can attach
card" and "Noren" were commercialized.

Through
changing numbers of location not numbers of parts, we
can solve the problem that is too small to find. That
cause it to shorten time for searching parts, furthermore,
a source of reducing cost and bearing profit. Jaroc’s

We realized
"kaizen spirit" with various jobsite people of production
and distribution.
It is very quiet work compared with other works. Sometimes,
there are a lot of kaizen parts can be understand after it became
form in real. And there are many parts to be effective for only
restricted customers and jobsites not usual customers. However,
an effect of the cost reduction came from "kaizen"
produces a lot of merit rather than that of increasing sales
by several percentages. Increasing sales cause just short-term
effect, but an effect of jobsite kaizen is semi permanent.
In addition, "kaizen" causes “another kaizen“. And
the synergy of cost reduction is born and becomes a firm and
strong company. It is our joy to feel that. It’s our work to
form Kaizen of removing various wastes after clarifying problems
thoroughly in jobsite within the limits of a customer’s budget.
Above
goal is the slogan of our company, too. Now we entered
upon 40 years after establishment of company and spread
our market mainly on a household appliances, medical supplies,
precision instruments, wholesale trades, warehouse works,
construction industries not to mention the automobile
industry inside and outside Japan. A lot of customers
are fighting desperately to achieve productivity on jobsite.
We are sharing their troubles and suggesting suitable
solution one by one.
Our
sales group visit customers and feel their troubles
together with recognizing what are their wastes, think how
can we do with standing in their side.
Next, our planning group realizes a solution
in detail. It is not plan of just beautiful or merely convenient
equipments, neither design of equipments which can be everything.
But It is a development and design of the best solution equipments
to achieve the purpose. Our supply group are doing best how to supply
the best quality products with good price. We opened factories
in China, Korea, Thailand, Europe, U.S.A. besides Japan to
meet the need of customers in the worldwide factory or logistic
site by helping them with good quality not to mention optimization
of a price.
Our operation group’s duty is that has a customer feel relieved
by installation and maintenance. We are sure our many of kaizen
equipments can be used for 30〜40 years.
Jaroc’s
spirit is "To think together with customers, To take
any trouble together with customers, To create the most
suitable distribution equipments together, To be a physical
distribution company can put up profit to customers"
We,
Jaroc will not stop the activities of Kaizen.
